Job summary

Skanska USA is seeking a dynamic Vice President, Account Manager to lead strategic client relationships across a geographic region and vertical markets. You will drive revenue growth, manage full P&L for assigned accounts, and develop teams to deliver complex building programs.

The role reports to the EVP/GM and requires leading doer-seller capabilities, deep construction industry experience, and a track record in pursuing new business opportunities while ensuring project delivery excellence.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of the construction process.
  • 10+ years in a leadership role, managing teams and overseeing large projects.
  • 10+ years identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and increasing revenue.
  • 10+ years in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – construction management, engineering, business administration, or related field or 8 years equivalent plus 15 years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Company contact with new and existing clients and build and cultivate client relationships.
  • Responsible for full profit and loss on respective accounts and delivering services in geographic regions or verticals.

The Vice President, Account Manager manages all Company contact with new and existing clients and is responsible for building and cultivating client relationships. This position is measured on the ability to sell and deliver services (doer-seller) successfully. This position is responsible for generating business, managing client relationships, and developing employees as well is responsible for a geographic region, vertical market segment, and/or customers with a large building program. The Account Manager is responsible for full profit and loss on respective accounts. This position reports to the Executive Vice President/General Manager and manages specific client accounts.

Vice President, Account Manager Required Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of the construction process, project management, and industry regulations.
  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams, and overseeing large projects. This includes experience as a Project Manager, Project Executive, or in a similar high-responsibility position.
  • 10+ years of experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategies to grow the company's client base, and increasing revenue
  • 10+ years of experience with financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Bachelor’s Degree – construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field or 8 years equivalent experience plus a minimum of 15 years prior relevant experience.
