Job summary

Skanska seeks a dynamic Vice President, Account Manager to lead client relationships, drive sales of services, and manage full P&L for focused accounts. This role requires a proven track record in selling and delivering services while growing revenue within defined regions or vertical markets.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President/General Manager, the position demands deep construction industry experience, strategic leadership, and strong financial stewardship to expand the company’s client

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of construction industry experience with understanding of construction process and regulations.
  • 10+ years in a leadership role managing teams and large projects.
  • 10+ years in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and revenue growth.
  • 10+ years of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or 8 years equivalent experience plus 15 years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all company contact with new and existing clients and cultivate relationships.
  • Responsible for generating business, managing client relationships, and developing employees.
  • Oversee a geographic region, vertical market, or large building program; full profit and loss responsibility.

The Vice President, Account Manager manages all Company contact with new and existing clients and is responsible for building and cultivating client relationships. This position is measured on the ability to sell and deliver services (doer-seller) successfully. This position is responsible for generating business, managing client relationships, and developing employees as well is responsible for a geographic region, vertical market segment, and/or customers with a large building program. The Account Manager is responsible for full profit and loss on respective accounts. This position reports to the Executive Vice President/General Manager and manages specific client accounts.

Vice President, Account Manager Required Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of the construction process, project management, and industry regulations.
  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams, and overseeing large projects. This includes experience as a Project Manager, Project Executive, or in a similar high-responsibility position.
  • 10+ years of experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategies to grow the company's client base, and increasing revenue
  • 10+ years of experience with financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Bachelor’s Degree – construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field or 8 years equivalent experience plus a minimum of 15 years prior relevant experience.
