Job summary

PRO EM is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations in Rolling Meadows, IL to lead warehousing, logistics, and inventory control. The role focuses on reliability, timely delivery, and cost management, ensuring customer expectations are met through quality and process improvements.

The VP will supervise Operations and Sales, ensure OSHA/DOT compliance, and drive continuous improvement across labor and non-labor budgets, with accountability for inventory accuracy and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Management, Warehousing, Distribution, Dispatching, and Inventory Control.
• Proven ability to build and improve reliable products and services meeting customer expectations.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with accountability and logistics focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations portion of the profit and loss statement.
• Manage Operations and Sales team and ensure OSHA/DOT compliance.
• Oversee quality control, inventory control, distribution activities, and related duties.
• Manage budgets for labor and non-labor costs and control sub rentals.
• Evaluate current processes and implement improvements with executive input.
• Conduct annual inventory and cycle counts; ensure equipment accuracy in systems.
• Oversee warehouse management, asset care, staging, and logistics of yards.
• Coach and train staff; provide development paths and annual appraisals.
• Provide cost analyses for equipment purchases and repairs; lead process improvements.
• Ensure orders are filled with clean, functional equipment and resources are maximized.

Job Summary:

The Vice President is responsible for leading, optimizing, and increasing the organizational capability and effectiveness to provide the most reliable products and services within the event rental industry.The Vice President will ensure reliability by delivering all inventory to all event sites the first time on time in good condition installed correctly in a timely fashion.Upon completion of all events the inventory will be removed from the event site on time in one trip and returned to the warehouse in the same condition it was delivered to the event.Managing the reliability of the company will ensure all customer expectations are met through execution of quality control, inventory control, training, safety, fleet management and labor management.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for management of the operations portion of the profit and loss statement.
• Manage Operations and Sales team
• Ensure company compliance with all OSHA, DOT, and other government regulations.
• Ensure all customer expectations are met through execution of quality control, inventory control, distribution activities and any other related duties.
• Work within designated Operations Labor and Non-Labor COGS budget and help to control sub rentals and consumable supplies through proactive management.
• Evaluate/manage PRO EM current processes and implement changes, if necessary, with input from executive team.
• Conduct an annual inventory and on-going cycle counts while ensuring all equipment is accounted for accurately in the inventory system.
• Manage the accuracy and quality of equipment loaded for delivery and return including quality control to ensure equipment is cleaned, repaired, and returned to stock.
• Daily management of the Warehouse to include asset care and staging of orders.
• Logistics management of our equipment yards to include organization, cleanliness and proper ingress and egress.
• Coach and train team on all aspects of equipment management and hold employees accountable as necessary.
• Ensure employees have a development path and receives a performance appraisal on an annual basis.
• Provide cost-analysis for equipment purchases and repairs.
• Lead process improvement efforts.
• Ensure warehouse and labor spend is at or below budget.
• Interface with Account Executives, Project & Event Managers and Management Team to ensure all paperwork and documentation is given to the appropriate staff and completed as outlined within SOP’s.
• Ensure all orders are filled accurately with clean functional equipment.
• Maximize all PRO EM resources to achieve objectives listed above.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Management, Warehousing, Distribution, Dispatching, and Inventory Control
• Demonstrated results building, maintaining and improving reliable products and services that meet and exceed customer expectations.

• Excellent customer service and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Spanish bilingual communication skills a plus
