Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Vice Chairperson of Emergency Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Opportunity Details

• Serve as Vice Chairperson of Emergency Medicine, reporting directly to the Department Chair and providing leadership across clinical, operational, administrative, and academic functions.
• Oversee daily Emergency Department operations, implement departmental policies and procedures, and address operational challenges to support efficient, high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with the Department Chair to supervise, evaluate, and mentor Attending Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, supporting faculty development, recruitment, and retention.
• Lead departmental quality assurance, performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives, including monitoring clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and key performance indicators.
• Partner with hospital leadership, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to advance departmental goals, improve patient care delivery, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Serve as core faculty for the ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine Residency Program, participating in resident and medical student education, clinical supervision, and scholarly activities.
• Represent the Department on hospital and medical committees and assume departmental leadership responsibilities in the Chair's absence.
• Maintain an active clinical practice, providing high-quality, patient-centered emergency medical care.
