Job summary

The candidate will need an MD or DO degree, board certification in Anesthesiology, and at least 7 years of post-training clinical experience. Located in Morgantown, WV, the role includes protected administrative and clinical time.

Qualifications

• Eligible for an unrestricted state medical license.
• Strong executive presence, communication skills, and political acumen.
• Experience with physician compensation models and recruitment strategy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison for anesthesiology between SMG and community hospital CEOs.
• Build and sustain collaborative relationships.
• Align SMG goals with hospital strategic priorities.
• Represent SMG-Anesthesiology in hospital-level leadership forums.
• Travel to well-performing hospitals quarterly.

Skills

MD or DO degree

Board certified in Anesthesiology

7 years post-training clinical experience

3 years progressive leadership experience

Experience with ASPIRE and MPOG

Executive presence and communication skills

Willingness to travel to system hospitals

Education

Completed an Anesthesiology residency program
