Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and board certification in Anesthesiology are required.
• Unrestricted state medical license at appointment time.
• Minimum 7 years of post-training clinical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison for SMG-Anesthesiology with hospital CEOs and CMOs.
• Travel to system hospitals quarterly and monthly to ensure alignment.
• Promote evidence-based perioperative practices and interpret dashboards.
• Lead recruitment, staffing plans, and equitable compensation conversations.
• Foster system-wide collaboration while respecting local autonomy and culture.
• Support and coach site anesthesia leaders to improve quality and performance.
