Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Vibration Simulation / FEA Engineer to advance battery structure analysis through FEA, modal, and dynamic simulations. You will translate operating conditions into robust models, correlate with physical tests, and deliver actionable design improvements for reliability and cost.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of FEA experience in design/validation environments.
• Experience with mechanical design or validation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute FEA simulations for structural and vibration performance.
• Perform modal analysis and evaluate natural frequencies and mode shapes.
• Conduct dynamic simulations (frequency response, harmonic, random, transient, shock) as required.
• Evaluate structural response to vibration environments and identify resonance and fatigue concerns.
• Apply linear and nonlinear FEA to static/dynamic loading conditions.
• Create and maintain FE models with mesh, materials, BCs, contacts, and loads.
• Define vibration loading criteria from requirements and field data.
• Analyze time-domain and frequency-domain data to support models.
• Correlate simulations with modal/shaker tests and field data.
• Support troubleshooting of vibration and durability issues during development.
• Perform design optimization to improve stiffness, mass, and frequency separation.
