Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Vibration Simulation / FEA Engineer to support the development and virtual validation of structures, mechanisms, and components for batteries. The role focuses on FEA, vibration simulation, modal and dynamic analysis to predict behavior, identify wear and fatigue, optimize designs, and improve reliability and cost.

Collaboration with design, test, reliability, and product teams is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3+ years of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience.
3+ years of design or product validation experience.
Experience in nonlinear FEA and fatigue analysis.
Proficiency with CAD software (NX or SolidWorks) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute FEA simulations for structural and vibration performance of components, assemblies, and systems.
Perform modal analysis to evaluate natural frequencies and mode shapes.
Conduct dynamic simulations (frequency, random, transient, shock) as required.
Evaluate structural response to vibration environments and identify resonance and fatigue concerns.
Create and validate finite element models with proper boundary conditions and loading.
Correlate simulation results with test data and provide design improvements.
Collaborate with design, test, reliability, and product development teams throughout development.
