Job summary

Brightview Towson Community is seeking an energetic Activity Director, titled Vibrant Living Director, to lead resident programs and coach a team of associates to foster a vibrant living environment. The role centers on motivating residents, delivering high-quality social, educational and wellness activities, and driving engagement across the community.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, leadership experience, and a passion for enriching seniors’ lives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field that lends itself to vibrant living in a senior environment; marketing, education or geriatrics preferred.
• Minimum of seven years in a high energy, public role with leadership/supervisory experience; event or activities planning, sales, or training are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively and influence others.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
• Excellent written communication and professional writing.
• Ability to solve complex problems with logic and creative thinking.
• Experience working in a multi-site environment.
• Advanced computer skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet-based applications.
• Ability to manage projects and multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of senior living regulations and safety considerations for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to all associates with focus on delivering high quality and vibrant programs for residents.
• Monitor trends in senior living and support development and execution of robust programs.
• Develop strategies and best practices, manage company-wide initiatives and wellness programs.
• Measure resident participation and satisfaction and implement efficient strategies.
