Job summary

FIRSTCOAST is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative and interactive activities program for residents. Responsibilities include planning individual and group activities, maintaining calendars, and coordinating transportation as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and, preferably, at least one year of experience in a long-term care facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individual, small, and large group activities.
• Assist in communicating between staff, residents, families, and outside agencies to meet residents' needs.
• Develop and maintain monthly activity calendars and attendance records.
• Assist in discharge planning and activity care plans for residents.
• Arrange transportation for residents as needed and coordinate outings and events.
• Support development of daily/weekly activity schedules and adapt activities for bed-bound residents.
