Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced Vehicle Hardware Engineering (VHE) integration engineer for forward model programs in Dearborn. You will serve as the single point of contact for program to functional engineering, coordinating support across teams to remove roadblocks and ensure on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes systems integration, meeting cadence, and cost-conscious program management, with onsite collaboration four or more days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in automotive interiors preferred or equivalent experience in exteriors with vehicle components knowledge.
• Design and Release Engineering or Vehicle Engineering experience is preferred.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and leadership abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead system integration and act as primary liaison to program teams, ensuring smooth collaboration.
• Manage milestones, cost targets, and performance metrics across functional teams.
• Support engineering milestones reviews and ensure on-time deliverables.
• Coordinate change control, BOM updates, and sign-off processes across groups.
• Provide on-site build support and lead issue resolution to maintain schedule integrity.
