Job summary

Air Methods in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a rotor wing pilot to operate EC135SP2+ / AS350 under VFR, with a $40,000 annual stipend and a $15,000 sign-on bonus available. This contractor role offers 7 days on/7 days off, 12-hour shifts, and a chance to join a leading air medical team.

As a pilot, you will ensure airworthiness, comply with FAR/AIM/GOM, complete pre-flight checks, and support patient transport. The job emphasizes safety, training, and a community-focused mission in Las Cruces.

Qualifications

• 2000 total flight hours with at least 1500 hours in rotor wing category
• ATP rating in category; Commercial & Instrument ratings required
• AA/AS degree or equivalent, 2–5 years of related experience; Bachelor's preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and legally
• Perform pre-flight checks and sign off Daily Flight Log
• Maintain crew readiness and familiarity with medical interior
• Complete required documentation and flight planning as needed
