Job summary

Air Methods seeks exceptional Rotor Wing Pilots to operate EMS missions from Sayre, PA, ensuring airworthiness and compliance with FAR, AIM and GOM guidelines. The role includes 12-hour shifts on a 7-on/7-off schedule and close coordination with medical crews to transport patients to receiving hospitals within defined areas.

Qualified candidates will have relevant flight hours, IFR capability, and appropriate certificates, with education including an AA or higher.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Instrument rating (for category and class of aircraft)(ATP rating in category meets this requirement)

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner
• Completes pre-flight checks and ensures airworthiness
• Maintains final authority for operations and safety of passengers, cargo and equipment
• Familiar with aircraft and medical systems; ensures medical crew is comfortable with interior systems
• Completes required documentation and conducts detailed flight planning as needed
• Participates in meetings and projects; supports community outreach
• Performs other duties as assigned
