Job summary

AVECCC seeks a Veterinary Head of Training and Development to lead the education and development of support staff across all AVECCC locations. The role drives classroom and on‑the‑job training, implements new staff onboarding, and partners with the leadership team to advance nursing and veterinary care practice.

You will oversee AVECCC Academy initiatives, mentor leaders, and facilitate ongoing professional development to enhance patient outcomes and organizational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience training veterinary staff, including technicians and assistants.
• CVT credential required in Arizona; advanced VTS preferred.
• Ability to develop and oversee staff education programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and align staff in safe, patient-centered care.
• Develop and implement training programs across all AVECCC sites.
• Mentor leadership, promote change and innovation in nursing practice.
• Oversee onboarding, scheduling, and training budgets for nursing staff.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team to ensure comprehensive staff development.
