Job summary

Qualifications

• Current licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a veterinary technician in Virginia.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the topics of instruction.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to educating program students.

Responsibilities

• Instructing students in laboratory and clinical settings.
• Laboratory supervision, preparation, and maintenance.
• Providing veterinary care to animals.
• Managing the regulatory processes associated with the Veterinary Technology program.
• May be required to teach Vet Assist courses.
• Maintaining licensure as an LVT throughout their time in the position.
• Other program related functions alongside a large team of experienced, veterinary professionals.
