Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technologist to lead and support Veterinary Services. The position will assess murine health, administer treatments, collect samples, and perform surgeries under veterinarian supervision.

Responsibilities include data management, record-keeping, and timely communication of findings to researchers and veterinarians. A high school diploma is required, with ALAT licensure within 18 months preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with laboratory animal care or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with maintaining medical/experimental records desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine veterinary tasks and support services under supervision.
• Assess health of murine model and assist in treatments and surgeries.
• Collect samples, manage databases, and document procedures.
• Monitor equipment and processes for compliance with SOPs.
• Inform stakeholders of findings in a timely manner.
• Maintain documentation and records for own area.
• Attend to additional duties to meet department goals.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
