Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Lab Animal Science, Biology, Toxicology, or Agricultural preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in a professional animal care facility; or 2+ years with an Associate's degree; or no industry experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Some experience with software tools to maintain documentation/records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine tasks/processes within area with limited guidance.
• Perform assigned procedures within area (e.g., necropsy, euthanasia; PK/PD projects; surgical procedures) as applicable.
• Troubleshoot, report, and record issues with equipment/processes within area.
• Monitor own delivery for compliance with overall guidelines and SOPs.
• Inform researchers, veterinarians of findings and unusual observations in a timely manner.
• Maintain documentation (medical records, process logs, files, billing reports) as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet goals and objectives of the department and institution.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
