Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4+ years in a professional animal care facility (e.g., zoo, veterinary clinic, lab).
• ALAT certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• Experience with murine model handling and restraint is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine tasks within Vet Services: assess health, triage emergencies.
• Perform procedures such as necropsy and euthanasia as applicable.
• Troubleshoot and record equipment/process issues.
• Maintain documentation and keep records up to date.
• Inform researchers and veterinarians of findings in a timely manner.
• Maintain regular attendance and contribute to department goals.
