St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Inc. is seeking a part-time Research Services Technologist to provide timely clinical care and management for a diverse range of lab animal species.

This 60% FTE role requires flexibility for early morning or late evening shifts and emphasizes documentation and adherence to SOPs. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years in a professional animal care setting, or 2+ years with an Associate’s degree, plus ALAT licensure within 18 months

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's/Bachelor's in Lab Animal Science, Biology, Toxicology, or Agricultural preferred.
• 4+ years in a professional animal care facility; or 2+ years with an Associate's or a Bachelor’s degree.
• ALAT licensure required within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine tasks within the area with limited guidance, including vet and research service duties.
• Perform procedures such as necropsy, euthanasia, and related PK/PD projects as applicable.
• Troubleshoot and report issues with equipment or processes; maintain documentation and logs.
• Ensure compliance with guidelines and SOPs; monitor own work delivery.
• Inform researchers and veterinarians of findings and unusual observations promptly.
