The University of Minnesota is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support the health and well-being of patients. This role includes assisting with procedures, administering treatments, and ensuring excellent client service. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Days/Hours: Sunday, 6:00am to 4:30pm; Monday & Tuesday, 12:00pm to 10:30pm; Saturday, 6:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours a week)
Under the direction of a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, contributes to the health and well-being of patients by delivering high-quality veterinary technician services that meet MVMA, MAVT, and VMC standards and protocols.
Assists Clinicians and medical staff with veterinary procedures including specialty care, emergency care, surgical assisting, radiography, anesthesiology, laboratory procedures, administering treatments, animal nursing, restraint, handling, preventative care, and clinical research.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of Animal Health Technician or equivalent program, certified as MVMA/MAVT technician.
Preferred Qualifications: Problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, knowledge of veterinary terminology, handling of animals, flexibility, proficiency with PC and software, and certification recognized in Minnesota.

Pay Range: $22.53 to $23.90, depending on experience. 75%-100% appointment. Benefits include competitive wages, paid holidays, professional development, health plans, retirement, and more.
