Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for our Urgent Care department.

Pay: $18 - $42/hour

Note: This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and progression through our leveling system.

Responsibilities:

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, and operate anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases, including vital signs assessment.
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Assist with or perform CT, endoscopy, and ultrasonography.
• Understand normal vital sign ranges and interpret vital signs, alerting veterinarians to issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Perform medical calculations and administer medications appropriately.
• Proficiently perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes, drains, and catheters.
• Mentor and train colleagues, and address client concerns with patience and empathy.
• Stay current on CPR guidelines; ALS and BLS certifications provided at no cost.
