Job summary

Texas Coalition for Animal Protection is seeking a Veterinary Technician to provide patient care, vaccines, and client education across TCAP locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The role requires direct animal handling and travel to other TCAP sites with a company vehicle provided.

You will perform anesthesia prep, assist veterinarians, maintain medical records, and support inventory while delivering compassionate client service and educational guidance on responsible pet ownership.

Qualifications

• Must have veterinary technician experience or must have performed the functions of Veterinary Assistant I and II within TCAP.
• Must have practice experience in giving injections and drawing blood.
• Must have computer and data entry skills.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides knowledgeable and quality customer service.
• Provides in-person and telephone client service.
• Promotes spay and neuter and educates clients on responsible ownership.
• Supports associate staff and volunteers; promotes development of skills related to TCAP goals.
• Represents TCAP professionally to clients, volunteers, and staff.
