Job summary

Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) is seeking veterinary technicians to care for surgical patients, vaccinate wellness pets, and educate clients on TCAP services. The role involves direct work with animals and requires the ability to work 7:30 am–4:15 pm, full- or part-time, at TCAP locations.

Applicants should have relevant veterinary experience and a strong customer service ethic. We offer competitive hourly pay, a 401K, health insurance, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Veterinary technician experience or demonstrated function of Vet Assistant I/II within TCAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable and quality customer service.
• In-person and telephone client service.
• Promote spay/neuter and educate clients on responsible ownership.
• Support staff and volunteers; develop skills aligned with TCAP goals.
• Represent TCAP professionally to clients, volunteers, and staff.
