Job summary

Metro Paws Animal Hospitals in Dallas, TX seeks a Veterinary Technician to provide primary medical support to veterinarians and assist with patient care, blood collection, radiographs, and client education.

Qualifications

• Two years of veterinary technician experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience assisting in surgery.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• IV catheter placement and venipuncture.
• Administer drugs (IV, SQ, oral).
• Perform radiographs and dental radiographs.
• Assist doctors with patient care and client education.
• Care for hospitalized patients and discharge after care.
• Surgical preparation, monitoring and recovery.
• Collaborate effectively in a team.
