Job summary

PVESC in Maine is opening a brand-new, 42,000-square-foot specialty and emergency hospital in Falmouth, creating opportunities to grow your skills alongside a collaborative team of specialists committed to exceptional patient care and advanced veterinary medicine.

Qualifications

• Licensed or credentialed veterinary technician (or VTS).
• Experience in anesthesia and surgery.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and neurosurgical procedures.
• Provide surgical nursing care, including diagnostics, anesthesia support, treatments, and post-operative recovery.
• Prepare patients and maintain sterile technique in the OR.
• Place IV catheters and monitor patients during procedures and recovery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, residents, interns, and veterinary technicians.
• Advocate for patients and communicate compassionately with clients.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Licensed/Credentialed Veterinary Technician or VTS
• Experienced Veterinary Assistants may also apply
• Anesthesia and surgery experience
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Passion for exceptional patient care

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time | Tuesday-Friday, 11:00 AM-9:30 PM
• $25-$38/hour based on experience and licensure
• Higher range available for VTS candidates
• Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus
• Some holidays required
