Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals in Georgia is seeking a team-oriented veterinary assistant to support daily clinical care, including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures and patient assessment.

The role requires documented experience, weekend flexibility, strong customer service and teamwork, plus the ability to cross-train as receptionist and care concierge; it is a day shift on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have documented previous experience.
• Surgery experience is preferred.
• Flexibility in hours including weekends.
• Customer service skills and strong communication.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Ability to cross-train as receptionist and care concierge.
• Team player willing to learn new techniques.
• This is a Day Shift position.

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture and routine sampling as part of patient care.
• Catheter placement and handling of surgical prep.
• Assist with radiology procedures and imaging.
• Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery.
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
• Assist with dentistry and laboratory work.
• Support pharmacy activities and correct medication handling.
• Provide compassionate care for hospitalized patients.
