Up to $3,000 Sign-on Bonus for qualified candidates

Compensation: $25 to $32/hour

*Based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is at VCA Animal Care Clinic in El Sobrante, CA.

Position Overview

VCA Animal Care Clinic is seeking an experienced Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our team. Located at 3340 San Pablo Dam Rd, San Pablo, CA 94803, just north of Oakland and east of San Francisco, CA, we are committed to providing exceptional veterinary care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surgical procedures and assist veterinarians during surgeries
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments
• Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
• Prepare for surgical procedures, including sterilization and setup
• Perform laboratory sample preparation, dental radiology, blood draws, and catheter placement
• Maintain a compassionate and low-stress environment for patients and clients
