Job summary

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is seeking an exceptional Surgery Veterinary Technician. The role includes preparing patients for surgery, restraining them during procedures, placing IV catheters, performing phlebotomy, cytology prep, and radiography, plus monitoring during anesthesia or sedation.

Advanced imaging such as CT/MRI is included, with mentoring responsibilities for colleagues. Eligible RVT candidates receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus, with additional shift differentials for

Qualifications

• RVT certification preferred.
• Experience in surgical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery.
• Restrain patients safely for procedures.
• Place intravenous catheters in peripheral veins.
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Prepare slides for cytology.
• Proficiently perform digital radiographs.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia or sedation.

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Surgery Veterinary Technician.

Pay

$24.00 - $49.00 / hour

$3,000 Sign-on bonus for qualified RVT candidates!

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

• Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential

As a Surgery Technician, you will:

• You prepare patients for surgery.
• You safely restrain patients for procedures.
• You place intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins.
• You perform phlebotomy.
• You prepare slides for cytology.
• You proficiently perform digital radiographs.
• You monitor patients during anesthesia or while sedated.
• You will perform advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures.
• You have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• You have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
