Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Carolina Veterinary Specialists – Huntersville is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor in Huntersville, NC. The role combines medical technician duties with scheduling and supervising department staff to maintain patient care standards in a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital.

Lead a team, mentor staff, and collaborate with veterinarians and hospital leadership to improve clinical processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in veterinary medicine as a Veterinary Technician, preferably in an emergency, critical care, or specialty hospital setting.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospital environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, train, and develop veterinary technicians and assistants across varying skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain processes for medical records and billing.
• Collect and process work charts.
• Assist with entering in-patient charges and/or procedures in billing system.
• Ensure invoices are sent monthly and as requested by clients and doctors.
• Process payments and monthly statements.
• Resolve escalated financial problems with clients and determine when special financial agreements are appropriate.
• Assist with monitoring and reporting on accounts receivable.
• Prepare, print and mail invoice or statement copies for customers.
• Be dependable and punctual.
