Job summary

Sequist Animal Hospital, part of AmeriVet Veterinary Partners, is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead the on-floor technician team and drive high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years as a veterinary technician, strong leadership instincts, and proficiency with PIMS or similar veterinary software. This working supervisory role blends hands-on care with team leadership and process improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong technical skills in surgery, anesthesia, patient care, and workflow coordination.
• Knowledge of compliance standards (controlled substances, medical documentation, etc.).
• Experience with veterinary software (PIMS, EzyVet, VetSnap) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the technician team throughout the day (this is a working supervisor role).
• Create and maintain technician schedules, assignments, and workflow efficiency.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members at all skill levels.
• Ensure adherence to medical protocols, safety standards, and compliance (DEA, controlled substances, etc.).
• Partner with DVMs and leadership to support high-quality patient care.
• Drive accountability while fostering a positive, team-first culture.
• Assist with inventory, equipment oversight, and surgical flow.
• Participate in marketing initiatives.
