Job summary

Sky Lake Veterinary Hospital in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are part of the Suveto network and pride ourselves on compassionate medicine of the highest quality.

Under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian, you will perform medical, diagnostic, and laboratory procedures, take histories, assist with exams, venipuncture, imaging, and client education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• 3+ years of clinical veterinary hospital experience preferred.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work as part of a team.
• Proficient with veterinary software and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist doctors during appointments.
• Take client histories and record observations accurately.
• Perform venipuncture and in-house lab tests; relay results to owners.
• Provide nursing care and monitor hospitalized patients.
• Assist with admissions/discharges and client education.
• Perform diagnostic imaging as requested.
• Maintain clean, stocked treatment areas and record-keeping.
