Job summary

Sky Lake Veterinary Hospital in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a tech, you will perform basic medical, diagnostic, and laboratory procedures under a licensed veterinarian's supervision.

You will support exam rooms, take client histories, assist with procedures, venipuncture, in-house labs, imaging, and patient discharge, while promoting compassionate care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of clinical veterinary hospital experience.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible and able to adapt to new situations.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist in appointments with doctors.
• Take history from client and record observations in medical records.
• Educate clients on preventative care and provide follow-ups.
• Perform venipuncture and run in-house lab tests; report results to veterinarian.
• Administer nursing care and medications as directed by the veterinarian.
• Discharge and admit patients following hospital protocols; educate owners.
• Restock and clean exam rooms and treatment areas as needed.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging as requested.
