Job summary

Green Light Pet Hospital is a 24/7 emergency veterinary facility seeking a skilled veterinary technician to perform ultrasound exams, assist with anesthesia, and manage urgent cases alongside ER doctors.

You will work closely with ER DVMs in high-acuity situations, maintaining calm communication with pet parents and accurate medical records. Competitive benefits and opportunities await as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Core ultrasonography skills for point-of-care and full studies.
• Experience with anesthesia induction and monitoring.
• Strong venipuncture and IV catheter placement abilities.

• Perform diagnostic ultrasonography exams (point-of-care and full studies).
• Triage, anesthesia induction and monitoring, IV catheter placement, venipuncture.
• Radiology, in-house lab, wound care and emergency nursing.
• Work side by side with ER DVMs on high-acuity cases.
• Communicate with pet parents with clarity and empathy in stressful moments.
• Maintain accurate medical records (Instinct).

What you'll do

• Perform diagnostic ultrasonography exams (point-of-care and full studies) — this role’s core specialized skill
• Triage, anesthesia induction and monitoring, IV catheter placement, venipuncture
• Radiology, in-house lab, wound care and emergency nursing
• Work side by side with ER DVMs on high-acuity cases
• Communicate with pet parents with clarity and empathy in stressful moments
• Maintain accurate medical records (Instinct)

What you bring

• Strong technical skills: diagnostic ultrasonography (this role’s core specialization), anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, catheter placement
• CVT/RVT/LVT credential or equivalent hands-on experience (we'll level appropriately)
• Comfort with emergency pace

What is considered a PLUS

• VTNE passed (if credentialed)
• Prior ER/specialty experience
• Fear-free handling experience
