Apple Country Animal Hospital in Stow, MA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. CVTs encouraged but not required; we value skilled technicians with strong technical abilities for canine and feline patients.

You will work with a collaborative team delivering medical, surgical, dental, and diagnostic care while emphasizing client education and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician experience required.
• CVT preferred but not required.
• Experienced non-credentialed technicians encouraged to apply.
• Strong venipuncture and patient-handling skills.
• Experience with anesthesia and surgical patient monitoring.
• Comfortable with canine and feline patients.
• Ability to work independently while collaborative.
• Excellent communication and client-education skills.

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture and laboratory sample collection.
• IV catheter placement and administration of medications.
• Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and patient recovery.
• Dental procedures and dental radiography based on experience.
• Digital radiology and diagnostic imaging.
• Surgical preparation and assistance.
• In-house laboratory testing.
• Patient restraint and low-stress handling.
• Technician appointments and outpatient treatments.
• Support veterinarians during appointments and procedures.
• Patient assessment and monitoring.
• Client education and discharge instructions.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Mentoring less experienced team members.
