Job summary

Apple Country Animal Hospital in Stow, MA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our small animal practice. CVTs are encouraged to apply, but credentialing is not required; experienced non-credentialed technicians with a strong technical skill set are welcome. You will perform venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, radiography, surgical prep, in-house lab work, and patient care.We offer mentorship, ongoing learning, and a competitive compensation range.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician experience required.
• CVT preferred but not required; experienced non-credentialed technicians welcome.
• Strong venipuncture and patient-handling skills.
• Experience with anesthesia and surgical monitoring; comfort with dogs and cats.

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture and laboratory sample collection.
• Administer medications, injections, and treatments.
• Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and patient recovery.
• Dental procedures and dental radiography as experience allows.
• Digital radiology and diagnostic imaging.
• Surgical preparation and assistance.
• In-house laboratory testing.
• Patient restraint and low-stress handling.
• Maintain medical records and client education.
• Support veterinarians during appointments and procedures.
