PetVet Care Centers’ Seymour Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team in Seymour, Connecticut. You will support hospital operations by delivering high-quality veterinary care and outstanding client service to our patients.

We offer a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience, a collaborative culture, and comprehensive benefits. Full-time or part-time schedules are available, with open shifts from morning to early evening to fit your life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years or older to apply.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and safely restrain dogs and cats.
• Assist the doctor in the exam room and in procedures.
• Take x-rays including dental.
• Dispense medications and infuse fluids as directed.

Responsibilities

• Assess animal needs through examinations and medical history.
• Provide nursing care and monitor vital signs.
• Assist in surgeries and diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain medical records and inventory.
• Communicate with owners about patient status and care plans.
• Ensure clean, safe, and humane handling of all patients.
