Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a Veterinary Technician at Rivergate Veterinary Clinic in New York, NY. You will provide high-quality patient care, assist with surgeries, and maintain medical records while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Veterinary Technician Assistant experience or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and interviews, and reviewing care plans and records.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, vaccines, and wound care.
• Assist with examinations and operations by assembling supplies and restraining patients as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain patient medical records and document changes and reactions promptly.
• Communicate with pet owners about patient status and discharge instructions.
