Veterinary Technician Shift Lead - Overnight
Total Bonus Opportunity for Registered Veterinary Technicians: $10,000!
- $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus
- $2,500 retention bonus at 12 months
- $2,500 retention bonus at 24 months (subject to eligibility and bonus agreement terms)
Compensation: $29/hr - $41/hr + $2/hr shift lead differential, $3/hr overnight differential, and $2/hr weekend differential

Job Purpose
- Provide primary point of contact through which all technical questions, comments, concerns, and issues can be handled.
- Decrease the time spent by doctors and technical staff replicating responsibilities or missing duties by providing oversight for all technical employees in the moment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee the individuals working on any given shift to ensure their work product is excellent.
- Review any patient or doctor issues that arise in the moment to allow for expedient and satisfactory resolution.
- Assign patients to the appropriate group based upon case severity and knowledge of technical skill level of group technical employees.
- Update full patient census forms and patient board regularly during shift.
- Update Triage Board as necessary in a Triage-Center-In-Certification-Process Hospital.
- Ensure rounds are being appropriately handled as patients are transferred from one person to the next.
- Act as primary person for resource management of technical staff within the Emergency Department.
- As assigned by the Technician Manager, train staff in any technical areas requested.
- Responsible for being primary key‑holder or Cubex resource as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ER experience in a lead or supervisor role.
