Qualifications

• Must be a Florida-licensed Certified Veterinary Technician.
• 3+ years of clinical veterinary hospital experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist veterinarians in appointments.
• Take client history and record observations in medical records.
• Educate clients on preventative care and provide follow-up.
• Communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Perform venipuncture, in-house labs, and send samples to outside labs as needed.
• Provide nursing care and monitor patients under veterinarian direction.
• Admit and discharge patients following protocols; educate on procedures.
• Restock and clean exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Dispense medications and prepare treatment sheets and labels.
• Perform diagnostic imaging as requested by veterinarian.
