Job summary

Creekside Pet Care Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for overnight shifts at our 24/7 busy clinic. This full-time role offers a $1,500 signing bonus and opportunities to work with a 10-doctor AAHA accredited hospital within the Suveto network.

Located in the Keller/Southlake area of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, we provide emergency services, grooming, daycare, and boarding. Join a team dedicated to excellence in patient care and client service with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of clinical veterinary hospital experience.
• Ideally some veterinary technician education.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist in appointments.
• Take history from client and record observations.
• Educate clients on preventive care and provide follow-up.
• Perform venipuncture and in-house lab work as directed by veterinarians.
• Provide nursing care and monitor hospital patients.
• Assist in anesthesia induction and operative procedures.
• Discharge patients with instructions and follow-up care.
• Keep areas clean, restock rooms, and maintain safety standards.

Creekside Pet Care Center is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician for Overnights at our 24/7 busy 10‑doctor, AAHA accredited veterinary clinic.

This is a Full‑Time position. Overnight Shift.

$1500.00 Signing Bonus

Creekside Pet Care Center, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, is a full‑service 24/7 veterinary hospital with onsite grooming, daycare and boarding services. Essential Duties

• Prepare exam rooms and assist in appointments with doctors.
• Take history from client. Perform physical assessments and record observations legibly in medical record.
• Educate clients on preventative healthcare recommendations and provide follow up.
• Communicate any patient or client concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Perform venipuncture to collect blood samples, perform in house laboratory tests, and prepare all forms to be sent to outside labs, call owner with results as requested by veterinarian.
• Provide and monitor all nursing care as requested by veterinarian for patients admitted to hospital, including medications (all routes) and monitoring.
• Admit and discharge patients to hospital by following all admission and discharge protocols. Educate clients on admit/discharge.
• Clean and restock exam rooms, treatment areas, hospital wards and other areas as requested.
• Must have proficient knowledge of practice software for dispensing veterinarian approved medication, patient food, printing treatment sheets, discharge instructions, cage card labels, x ray and lab labels, recording communication with client and doctors, and others as directed by veterinarian.
• Must have clear understanding and enforcement of OSHA regulations and hospital safety standards.
• Perform diagnostic imaging as requested by veterinarian.
• Perform tech appointments, such as pedicures, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, routine lab work, subcutaneous fluids, etc. as deemed appropriate by practice.
• Assist doctors in medical and diagnostic procedures.
• Place IV catheters and begin fluid therapy when required by veterinarian.
• Assist in induction and maintenance of general anesthesia with doctor present.
• Assist in operating room, recovery, and post‑op nursing care as requested by veterinarian.
• Perform client callbacks and updates as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma (or equivalent).

• At least 3 years of clinical veterinary hospital experience required, ideally some veterinary technician education.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to new situations.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to act as a team player.
• Basic veterinary medical terminology required.
