Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced team in the Fort Myers area. The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a sign-on bonus for qualified credentials and experienced staff.

You will perform triage, assist with advanced procedures, and provide exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment. We value mentoring and ongoing learning, including access to continuing education resources.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician preferred (CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT/VTS) or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong patient care and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain history.
• Identify at-risk patients and initiate CPR.
• Place IVs and advanced catheters (Jugular, Central Lines, PICC).
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Collaborate with technicians and assistants to provide advanced medicine.
• Mentor and train colleagues to support growth.
• Support reunification of patients with their owners.

Education

CVT / LVT / RVT / LVMT / VTS or equivalent

Sign-on bonus for qualified CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT, and VTS and experienced non-credentialed Advance Patient Care Associates.

Pay: $21 - $42 / hour

• This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.
• Generous night shift differential

We are hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our team. If you enjoy patient care and working in a fast-paced, challenging, interesting, and collaborative environment, this is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays.

As a Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases

• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
