Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Des Moines, IA, is hiring a Veterinary Technician for mid-shift or overnight hours. This full-time position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

As a Veterinary Technician, you will triage patients, obtain histories, place IV catheters, monitor ventilator cases, and work with a skilled team to provide advanced care. A passion for mentoring colleagues and reuniting pets with their families is valued.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients

• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
