BluePearl Pet Hospital in Florida is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. The role offers a pay range of $21.00–$42.00 per hour, with advancement through our competency leveling system.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce and monitor anesthesia, triage cases, perform digital radiography, interpret vital signs, and support patient care with skills in phlebotomy, IV access, feeding tubes, and CPR.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician in ER/CCU preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Demonstrated compassion and teamwork in veterinary care.

Aufgaben

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.

Pay: $21.00 - $42.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

As An Emergency Veterinary Technician, You Will

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Are proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
