Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Veterinary Technician for the Emergency overnight shift in Culver City, CA. You will work closely with veterinarians to support critical care, manage patient flow, and educate pet families.

Ideal candidates hold RVT credentials or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years in veterinary settings, a passion for high-quality patient care, and a collaborative attitude. Weekend/overnight hours and growth opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Act and credentialed technician guidelines.
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments.
• Maintain medical records with practice systems support and ensure accurate charts.
• Use safe restraint techniques and keep treatment areas clean, sterile, and organized.
• Mentor and support fellow team members as needed.

Total Bonus Opportunity for Registered Veterinary Technicians: $10,000!

• $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
• $2,500 retention bonus at 12 months
• $2,500 retention bonus at 24 months Subject to eligibility and bonus agreement terms.

Overnight / Weekend Differential = $3 - $5 per hour in addition to base pay

Who We Are

Located in Culver City, ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24hour Emergency services, where our technicians encounter a variety of cases while working closely with some of the most qualified doctors in the country.

Role Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Compensation

• Non Credentialed Assistants $21/hr - $36/hr
• Licensed Technicians -$25/hr - $42/hr
• VTS $43/hr - $45/hr
