Alpha Veterinary Services in Uniontown, PA is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant. The role involves assisting veterinarians, preparing patients for surgery, monitoring anesthesia, and client education.

Ideal candidates are CVTs or experienced assistants with 1–2 years of clinical experience and a passion for hands-on care. We offer a supportive team, opportunities to work with small and large animals, and ongoing education in a collaborative hospital setting

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM | Rotating Saturdays, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Assist veterinarians during appointments, diagnostics, and treatments
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
• Monitor anesthesia (based on experience and credentials)
• Collect laboratory samples and perform diagnostic testing
• Place IV catheters, administer medications and vaccines, and perform venipuncture
• Take and develop digital radiographs
• Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
• Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
• Help create a positive, efficient workflow while supporting your teammates

What We’re Looking For

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) or an experienced Veterinary Assistant with at least 1–2 years of clinical experience
• Strong technical and patient care skills
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willingness to work rotating Saturday shifts
• Experience with anesthesia, dentistry, or surgery is a plus but not required
