Alpha Veterinary Services in Uniontown, PA is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our mixed-animal team. You’ll assist doctors, prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, collect samples, and maintain medical records with a collaborative, compassionate approach.

Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT) or Veterinary Assistants with 1–2 years of clinical experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• CVT or 1–2 years of clinical experience as Veterinary Assistant or Technician.
• Strong clinical and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during appointments, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist during surgical procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia based on experience and credentials.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform diagnostic tests.
• Place IV catheters, administer medications and vaccines, and perform venipuncture.
• Take and develop digital radiographs.
• Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients.
• Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes.
• Support a positive, efficient workflow and assist teammates.

What We’re Looking For

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) or an experienced Veterinary Assistant with at least 1–2 years of clinical experience
• Strong technical and patient care skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment

• Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willingness to work rotating Saturday shifts
• Experience with anesthesia, dentistry, or surgery is a plus but not required
