Eye Care for Animals York Rd is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician Practice Leader in Cockeysville, MD. This full-time role blends hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities as part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, collaborating with an established Practice Leader to support our team and patients.

Eye Care for Animals is seeking an experienced, full-time Veterinary Technician Practice Leader to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Cockeysville, MD. This is a shared leadership role, collaborating closely with an established Practice Leader to support our team and patients.


About You

This position is ideal for an experienced Veterinary Technician who values both hands‑on clinical work and leadership responsibility. The Practice Leader (PL) role is 70% clinical and 30% leadership, blending direct patient care with decision-making, problem-solving and workflow improvement. As the hospital's Integrator, the Practice Leader partners with Eye Care for Animals and Thrive leadership to support team engagement, performance and daily operations. This role plays a key part in delivering excellent patient care while helping build a hospital culture where teams and leaders succeed together.


Your Experience & Skills


  • Minimum 5 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)

  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred

  • Superior/advanced technical skills

  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)

  • Possesses a positive work attitude

  • Self-motivated

  • Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $25/hour to $30/hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
