Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare in Tustin, CA seeks a full‑time Veterinary Technician to provide end‑to‑end patient care, including outpatient treatments and labs. You will support veterinarians, assist with surgeries, manage records, and mentor teammates in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Previous veterinary technician/assistant experience required.
  • RV T preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood work, IV/IM/SQ injections.
  • Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced setting.

Role

Full‑time Veterinary Technician in the Thrive Pet Healthcare network. Provide end‑to‑end care for patients, including outpatient treatments, laboratory tests, admits and discharges.

Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians and assist the medical team to ensure quality care, advocate for pets and educate clients.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in line with your state Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed technicians.
  • Manage patient flow, maintain medical records and charts, and monitor anesthesia and equipment.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep exam rooms and labs clean and sterile.
  • Communicate with clients about health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Memberships, medications and additional treatments.
  • Mentor and support fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Previous veterinary technician/assistant experience required.
  • Registered Veterinary Technician preferred.
  • Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood work, IV/IM/SQ injections.
  • Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and working with monitoring equipment.
  • Team player, self‑motivated, enjoys fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to multi‑task.

Compensation
