Job summary

VCA Eye Clinic for Animals in San Diego seeks an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Ophthalmology team. This locum, part-time role offers hands-on patient care in a fast-paced specialty practice and the opportunity to work closely with clinicians on advanced eye procedures.

Ideal candidates hold an RVT license, have anesthesia/surgery experience, and can work Monday through Friday. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and strong support for professional growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and catheter placement.
• Monitor anesthesia during procedures and patient recovery.
• Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments.
• Prepare for surgery and assist during ophthalmic procedures.
• Perform laboratory work and manage pharmacy tasks.
• Maintain compassionate care for hospitalized patients and client communication.

located in Kearny Mesa, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Ophthalmology team.

Location: 5610 Kearny Mesa Rd # A, San Diego, CA 92111

Schedule: Locum (relief), Part-time, Monday 7:30 am - 6 pm

Salary: $25– $30 per hour (negotiable based on education, experience, and credentials)

We are currently looking to add to our team, and we are seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician who believes in high-quality veterinary medicine with the experience and know-how to make it happen. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
