Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as a Veterinary Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in patient care, restraint, and medication administration.
• Collect and record patient history and vital signs.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Monitor and document patient progress during and after treatment.
• Perform routine diagnostic procedures (blood work, cytology, radiology).
• Administer treatments, including chemotherapy, under supervision.
• Assist with ultrasound, biopsy, and CT scans.

Education

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including handling, restraint, and medication administration
• Collect and record patient history and vital signs
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for procedures
• Monitor and document patient progress during and after treatment
• Perform routine diagnostic procedures, such as blood work, cytology, and radiology
• Administer treatments, including chemotherapy, under the guidance of veterinarians
• Assist with specialized procedures like ultrasound, biopsy, and CT scans
• Monitor patients during anesthesia and post-anesthesia recovery
• Provide support and education to pet owners facing a cancer diagnosis
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
